Hya, has anyone had any noticeable results/ experience positive and negative with creams/dermabrasion/peels etc.-need to be pro-active before I start to feel really old. thanks.

i'm 46, use olay (day nad night wrinkle creams with spf), pro age dove products etc, but on a daily basis, always have varnished nails, decent hair cut and colour and shaped/tinted eyebrows.

imo - the expensive creams etc are ok, but the budget ones are just as effective so long as used every day.

Make sure you wear sunglasses when the sun is out as it stops you squinting and getting the wrinkles. Ditto prescription glasses if you need them.

Use sunblock all the year round- I have used Clinique City block for about 15 years, and it really does help - people think I am 10 yrs younger [smile} Take it right up to your under eyes.

Also, healthy living does help- cut right back on booze, caffeine etc and eat loads of fresh, organic fruit&veg, and take daily exercise to boost circulation.

A friend is a dermatologist and she always recommends ROC, it has the highest concentration of retinol available without prescription. Retinol is magic as it works on wrinkles and also on spots/acne. It is the ingredient in Boots Protect & Perfect, but Roc's intensive anti-wrinkle range has more.

I've been using it for a couple of years, my monthly spot (right in the middle of my chin usually) is a thing of the past, and it's keeping the lines at bay

I think it's great stuff, Boots often have offers, 3 for 2, etc. and it's well worth trying.

The Roc eyecream is good. I also like the Boots Time Delay one.
