Does anybody else squeeze their pores, obsessively, daily, in a magnifying mirror, or is it just me?

I've been doing this for years, I can't stop. My skin is no better for it in fact I'm certain it is much worse but I'm addicted. I want to stop but can't. Am I alone in my plight?

yikes ! you'll get broken veins !

I don't really get many blackheads/blocked pores. It might be because I use a gentle scrub every day. I do get the occasional one on my chin but have found that squeezing it always causes a spot so I try to leave them and just give the area an extra vigorous scrub. Why don't you try this?

Have you tried the pore strip things that you stick on then peel off? They do work and they're probably much kinder to your face than all that squeezing.

It sounds like the squeezing has become a habit rather than something your face needs you to do to look good. Can you try to limit yourself to just one squeezing session a week?

I've been using that every day for years Amandoh, can't do without it.

It's a great product LilacClaire! I also use the StIves invigorating scrub but find it's a bit harsh for everyday usage as it leaves my face looking a bit red. The Clean & Clear one really is gentle enough to use daily.

I know what you're talking about whatabitch. I do the same thing. Apparently it's a form of OCD. Have a look here

Not that I have done anything about it since discovering it's an 'illness' (or whatever you call it). I'm not too bad these days but have done it since my teens.

I also do this, not for any particular reason, but if I'm bored of something I'll pick up the mirror for 10 minutes or so .But I do do it daily maybe 3 or 4 times a day.

hmm i suspected it was some sort of disorder. Theres certainly not much going for it is there?
