Conjunctivitis

So, do I go round scaring small children with my puffy red eyes or do I choose to look like an arse wearing sunglasses indoors?

Which would you do?

Go to the doctor and get a prescription. Conjunctivitis usually clears up very quickly with treatment.

most conjunctivitis is viral not bacterial. Anyway, I've only had it a couple of days.

I'm more concerned by looking minging, quite frankly.

So, scary eyes or sunglasses indoors?

Oh c'mon, there must be a MN consensus on which is the better of the two evils?

Scare small children. If you wear sunglasses indoors you will find it difficult to see where you are going.

I would say sunglasses. A friend at church had conjunctivitis but it looked like she was knackered/had been crying and I am sure people assumed this as she has been having some difficult family problems.

You can always say to people why you are wearing them without revealing your sore eyes!

DD2 has it at the moment (she isn't 2 yet so sunglasses a bit ott for her!). I am going with the mnet advice of bathing with boiled water and it seems to be working and getting better. Hope yours aren't too sore.
