anyone know about Coolers shoes? Are they going to be the new crocs?

Just been looking at some Coolers summer shoes on ebay and think they look quite cool, but am getting the impression that they are VERY 2009.

Anyone got some? Are they going to be the new crocs where everyone you meet has them in a different colour?

I live in Devon so know nothing of fashion trends

gonaenodaethat · 10/04/2009 15:49

And ill so can't be bpthered to google

or correct spelling

pginthecloset · 10/04/2009 15:55

here

They do mainly come in neutral colours, unlike crocs! But there is a range of colours.

Also, I'm half thinking they look like Dr Scholl shoes

Thanks for the link.

They do look amazingly comfy and a lot more flattering than Crocs. I like them.

shhhh · 10/04/2009 18:11

Euugghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...sorry not my cup of tea..

Look like something my mother would wear.. (btw she is a hotters fan )

suwoo · 10/04/2009 18:15

Eww, I really can't see the slebs or anyone stepping in out in those!

MadameCastafiore · 10/04/2009 18:20

Just get some birkenstocks - they don;t go out of fashion you just add more colours to your collection each year.

pginthecloset · 10/04/2009 18:22

shhh and suwoo - are you Crocs fans then? I'll feel better about the shoes if you are

I don't think I'm fashionable enough for birkenstocks. I find them ugly..

it's a slippery slope when you choose shoes based on comfort

twill be elasticated waists and jerseys next, you mark my words !

HortonHatchesTheChocolateEgg · 10/04/2009 18:45

Really sorry, but those are horrid and have nowhere near the appeal of Crocs for me. I'm a Crocs fan so don't mind odd-looking shoes but I think those are a bit grannyish.

suwoo · 10/04/2009 18:57

Err no, I'm not a crocs fan at all. I wear Birkies in the summer.

bronze · 10/04/2009 18:58

I was looking at these the other day just becaus eI need some new basic summer shoes/flip flops. didnt realise they were 'in' may have to look eleswhere

bronze · 10/04/2009 19:00

I was looking at flipflops though I dont like the ones linked above

Flamesparrow · 10/04/2009 19:28

they are hideous

slackrunner · 10/04/2009 19:30

Good grief, I'm only 33 - I'm not ready to wear shoes like that for at least another 40 years (IF EVER).

shhhh · 10/04/2009 19:38

I am a crocs fan (usually..although not sure this year fo some reason..) BUT hate those...! crocs look 110% better imo

SmallShips · 10/04/2009 20:13

Hideous, my Grandma would love them though.

They really are horrible.

BunnyLebowski · 11/04/2009 17:41

Boke. That is all.

Mumcentreplus · 11/04/2009 17:58

Nah...they are pretty nasty...I like my Birkies..(although I used to hate them)

Lovemyshoes · 11/04/2009 18:00

Sorry, nah for me, not keen on crocs, birkies or coolers,

Now rocket dog, irregular choice and goergina goodman and your talking my style.

blithedance · 13/04/2009 22:17

Somehow I have ended up on the mailing list of a "comfort shoes" catalogue of Pavers/Padders/Coolers and other Ecco-type shoes beloved of my mother. One or two of the sandals might pass for ordinary shoes from a distance but I'd say definitely aimed at the older generation!
