so which one shall i go for, for that vitaluminere-style glow? Is it worth buying primer too?

If i bought the mac foundation and primer that would be the same price as the vitalumiere. but it would last shorter time (obviously).

Which? What? help!

Vitalumiere. Clarins beauty flash is as good as primer if you have any.

REally? But it's £42!!! Dh will faint if I spend this much on a foundation. He's already had palpitations at me spending £35 on a shopping trolley.

But will do it if absolutely necessary

Just bought some vitalumiere after Kerry's thread on this. It's really good . Did get "persuaded" to buy the primer though.

shhhh · 06/04/2009 21:44

ah thanks sss...that sounds more like it..

itchyandscratchy · 06/04/2009 21:46

what does primer do?
If vita's so good anyway do we really need primer as well?
If I used primer and vitalumiere will I look PERFECT?

The primer seems to even out your skin tone and close up the pores, but doesn't give any colour. I think it also helps the foundation stay on. Since my face is (as my mother would say) red as a farmer's backside, anything that tones it down is good!

itchyandscratchy · 06/04/2009 21:59

Is it counterproductive to use primer that doesn't match the foundation? (ie cheaper primer, chanel foundation!)

Well, I expect Chanel would say so

I guess you'd have to experiment but that could end up pricey too. Got mine from Debenhams and got £5 off the primer. Still not exactly cheap though.
