Long-bodied mnetters out there - what's a good shop?

Always been long-bodied! but since dd have jelly belly and really need my t-shirts and tops to be long enough.

I love White Stuff but their stuff is really short. Just bought a nice plain long-sleeved t-shirt from M&S, too short.

Gap used to be good once upon a time, but don't think they are any more.

Any suggestions?

Topshop v.good. And if the normal range is still too short in the body they also have a Tall section.

White Stuff are so short!

I feel a bit old for Topshop! (40). But a Tall section sounds good.

I know Topshop can tend towards the very young look, but they do have lots of good basics as well. You can always use their basic vests for layering under shorter tops from elsewhere.

Appalling as it is in many ways (you will have to logo-dodge if you don't want to look like an overprivileged student), Jack Wills can be great for v. long tops. Also New Look does them, and All Saints.

I know it really annoys me about white stuff - I like their things but there really is no point buying their t-shirts.

H and M long sleeved t shirts are usually long. Also their vests are great.

Dotty P's very good for this - not great quality but plenty long.

NotSoRampantRabbit · 06/04/2009 13:14

Was going to suggest Topshop too - especially for basic vest tops. They are doing extra long ones atm which are great for wearing under cardis/tops or ruching up a bit.

I am 32 weeks pg and naturally long bodied anyway and I have one in every colour!

They have plenty of stretch so seem to cling in a flattering way.

Thanks everyone! - I knew I couldn't be the only one out there.

I shall return to the shops of my youth!

I have the same long body - jelly belly problem. I have just bought some scoop neck cotton jersey tops from Boden and they cover everything comfortably! Nice quality too.

BikeRunSki your link takes me back to this thread, this is the second time this has happened to me so I am wondering if it's my computer? Can you test it out for me please? Sorry to be a pain!

DownyEmerald · 06/04/2009 14:08

Thanks DownyEmerald it still isn't working for me but others are, very strange! Hope you manage to get some shopping done. I got a top from Boden sale actually which I think may be similar to the one I can't see in the link. IT was called Isabella pleat and has got a pleat down the front which is very flattereing on my jelly belly! They have got short sleeved versions in atm although only stripey.
