Switching from a powder blusher to a cream blusher - good idea? and which one?

Apparently powder blushers are OUT and aging to boot...I look old enough as it is so want to try a cream one...any recommendations? I currently use Benefit Dandelion if that helps..I have blondey red hair and very fair skin. Ta!

i use tesco make up nude one, it's nice, blends well

Caz10 · 04/04/2009 22:39

Ooh tesco sounds good, I have read good reviews of their make up in general

i use benetint

Frillysocks · 04/04/2009 22:51

Maybelline mousse blush in the rose pink would suit your colouring I think, plus it is very easy to apply.

I use a powder blusher though, I don't think they are aging at all - it's an Estee Lauder one in shades of rosy pink - is the best (similar shade to Benetint but easier to apply in a hurry).

mooseloose · 04/04/2009 22:53

i use tesco powder blush and its nice.

frazzledgirl · 05/04/2009 07:54

Another shout for Benetint here, they also do a pinky one (can't remember the name) for a more subtle look.

I also love my Benefit Rush Hour, which is a great blush and also can be used on lips (and eyes when I'm in a real hurry).

cluttercup · 05/04/2009 08:03

I love Paula Dorf cream blusher - but it's a bit on the pricey side. Saying that my one pot has lasted ages!

howtotellmum · 05/04/2009 10:14

Clinique has some...

I use Prescriptives powder bluher and it looks very natural- doesn't streak or look powdery...used it for ages now.

staggerlee · 05/04/2009 12:19

Max Factor 'Miracle Touch' is fantastic and lasts for ages

AbleSister · 05/04/2009 15:23

mac ones are the best

MayorNazeNotWithChoccyEggs · 05/04/2009 15:29

i use one by boots natural collection. it looks dutch doll scarlet but is actually v natural. and i am v pale so don't want a "painted" look.

v cheap too

Benjy · 05/04/2009 17:16

Would also second Mac. I tried their creme blush after a recommendation here and I love it. Have also heard good things about Benetint.

AbleSister · 05/04/2009 17:21

but they stopped my best colour

peachyfox · 05/04/2009 17:36

Ruby and millie (at Boots) do a lovely twist-up cheek gel that gives me the just-shagged look I hanker after. I'm pale skinned and blonde and use the one called 'tan'.

Caz10 · 05/04/2009 20:29

I am salivating at the thought of new make-up...

lol to the just-shagged look, hadn't thought of it that way but it is about the best description!

OK, I'm a make up junkie and have tried most of those mentioned here. IMO, the clinique mousse one is the best in terms of texture and blendability. I've found Benetint and also the twist up stick ones (like Ruby and Millie and NARS) harder to blend in. I've got the Max Factor one and it's a nice colour and can be used on lips too but again it's hard to blend in.

janeite · 06/04/2009 18:27

I use a Boots Natural Collection one, after a rec on here. It's really easy to apply and only cost a couple of pounds. Am v interested in Dutch Doll colour now though!

peachyfox · 06/04/2009 18:39

Another really great one I've used is this one by Pixi. They will mail out. It's a bit expensive at £13 but very natural and pretty.

peachyfox · 06/04/2009 18:43

Sorry don't think that works..for a lovely try this one

this one?

Caz10 · 06/04/2009 20:44

I've tried benetint and it was too red for me, also hard to blend in - although I do like it for a night out (hmm what's that again?).

Oooh they are all so lovely!

Is this the Clinique one? Saw their new magic lip gloss in a mag this month - it is clear but somehow magically turns the right shade of pink for your lips! So might treat myself to a double Clinique whammy!

do you tink so caz? i have v pale skin and it looks ok on me, and never had a problem blending it

slightlycrumpled · 08/04/2009 14:39

I like the benefit posytint which is less red than the benetint.
