it's at a house, close friends, lots of kids. I'll wear jeans - but am torn between day time - classic white shirt with perhaps a tank top, or a cardi, and something smarter but quite eveningy - black scoop neck top with a bit of a frill, or black slightly see-through shirt with a frill down the front. all my other clothes are too worky - black or brown knee length skirts or too scruffy. I have a nice flowery shirt but it's actually not as nice as the white one - which is lovely and crisp and a flattering fit.
