What on earth can I wear when the weather gets hot?

I have never been "happy" with my body, but since mum died last summer I have gone from being able to get away with this to being like this. I realised too late that I have turned into a fatty (2 dress sizes too late!!) and have been trying to cut down on the choc etc, but with exams in 4 weeks it is looking unlikely, and being an sp I never get time to run or anything, and am too knackered to do leg exercises at this time of night. What can I wear to cover up until I eat my way to a slimmer self?

Those tunic things over jeans or trousers always look nice.

stop scoffing

Pawslikepaddington · 03/04/2009 22:11

Do your legs get really hot when they are covered? Am used to being able to have my arms and legs uncovered, so don't know how I can cover up without being really sweaty all the time.

I'm sure you can find a dress that suit you. Do you want to show your arms? What size are you.

Naughty, naughty Tom.

or even that suits you.

Am stopping scoffing slowly but it has turned into a really bad habit. Have shuftied over to grapes and sugar snap peas, but fall foul of the sugar hit at least once a day. I don't drink or smoke so I use it (wrongly) as a quick fix solution. And stopping now isn't going to be a cure-all by June!

Ha ha, do you think I should go out like this?

er, no!

TomNook · 03/04/2009 22:21

corny

i speak as a ( starving) dieter

cornsilk · 03/04/2009 22:23

Me too - I'm eating ryvita minis as we speak!

Pawslikepaddington · 03/04/2009 22:27

That is true-if it is ryvita or starvation I would rather starve! I must clear the house of all but ryvita! Wish people would stop giving me easter eggs for dd and enclosing "a little something for mummy". It really really is so thoughtful, but I look upon it with sadness and scorn (and then come down at 2am when half asleep and before I know it have scoffed the lot!)
