Is there a product out there that can be used to tame dd's wild hair but that is fairly gentle (don't want to resort to hair lacquer)?

Possibly in the wrong topic, but here goes ...

Dd2 is 6 and has wild untamable (is that a word??!) hair which always looks ridiculously unkempt. I'm not keen on using hair lacquer on her hair, but she could do with something.

I'm not talking 'firm hold gel' just something to help to stop it escaping the hair bobbles!

Any ideas/recommendations?

Used to use frizz-ease on my dd's "bed head", just brush it in. It was in a tube.

A rub of olive oil? And a good trim!

I've just bought some L'Oreal kids sweet pear tangle tamer as my DDs' hair is wild. I'm v happy with it helps to stop knots and helps with combing. Not sure if that's what you need?

Tangle Teezers are worth every penny - Miraculous!

Treacle..They really do work then? Tell me more!

I saw them on Dragons Den and was a bit Then I saw them on sale at my hairdressers the other day.

With 2 dd's we're always wrestling tangles, but the worst is combing through when the hair is wet, even with gallons of conditioner. Can you use tangle tamers on wet hair?

I was worried I would just end up with an expensive brush to add to my collection, but I'll get one if it works!

Aveda's Be Curly range is lovely, but pricey.

Thanx 4 suggestions

Dd's hair isn't curly, it just won't stay put when tied back.

She has lots of baby hair despite being 6 (needs a reallllllllly good cut!) which grows out rather than down, lol. This is the problem really rather than it being frizzy.

I need some sort of product like lacquer but not lacquer iykwim. Something to help it to stay in place as she invariably comes out of school with it down because it has fell out - I don't want to tempt any unwanted visitors to her hair, lol.
