have bought this dress which I will get loads of wear out of, but am aggravated by the fact that one bit of the bow is a bit floppy. Is there a way of stiffening the fabric that anyone knows of please?

You can buy spray starch in supermarkets - near the Vanish type stuff. That would do it. The dress is lovely.

awesome! thanks Hassled.

I bought the dress in orange too, but may send that one back. What do you reckon?
I bought them because am pregnant but obviously will wear afterwards too, hence me thinking that I will get lots of wear out of it. But maybe orange is a bit much.

The orange is a bit much for me but then I'm very old.

Although actually I've just looked at your profile and decided you would look good in a bin-bag, so it will probably be fine

Hassled · 28/03/2009 20:06

God, that sounds awful - I meant even if you were just wearing a bin bag, you would still manage to look good. Now I sound like a loon/stalker. I'll get my coat.

Anyone else read this as "how to you stiffle a blow"?

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2009 20:13

Hassled - not at all, and thank you both for the lovely compliment and for the advice.

HairyMuff - I have no idea what you are on about but suspect you are being gross!!!

No I am not being gross (for once) Stiffle as in tone down/quieten and blow as in punch.

Thought she was planning on doing someone in or something and was asking for a quiet way of doing it!

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2009 20:54

well, yes, that is on my mind too.

Sister-in-law, anyone.......????
