HELP Sexy baby doll or cami top to hide my scars

TheMadHouse · 26/03/2009 18:01

As you may know I had a double mastectomy 3 weeks ago and get my stitches out tomorrow.

I have no chest at all, infact it goes in now rather than out and I would like a sexy top to wear for the first time me and DH make love again.

This is just as much for me (actually more for me, as the scars dont bother him at all) I am about a 16 top now.

I dont want to spend too much, but any ideas are welcome

What do you find sexy? Lacy, satiny, simple?

JudithChalmers · 26/03/2009 18:07

I bet he loves you regardless of tops. Is he an underwear man? SOme arent.

This is pretty and so is this

This is bargaintastic

This looks comfy and pretty, and is cheap

EV Those chemises are actually really nice and would possibly be perfect. I have a number of vests, which I am wearing as everyday underwear.

I know he would love me regardless of what I wear and it is me that is the issue not him in any way.

He used to be a breat man and I am the one feeling a little inferior TBH

I have never been a lace underwear kind of gal, but it may be the answer

I know Profiterole. but I am assuming that in a little while Mad wont feel the need to wear them and so they will be shoved to the back of her wardrobe. ;)

Mad - where are you with reconstruction? Did I read you were going to wait 12 months before that?

morningpaper · 26/03/2009 18:57

Primark have VAST ranges of chemises in a zillion different patterns/colours/styles

Peacocks also good

And so cheap he can rip them off you

PMSL - you lot are killing me

I am at least 12 months off reconstruction so if it was PJ or nighty type I could wear as loungewear. I will not even get my fake breast for 6 weeks.

I quite like this but it is quite pricey

I will visit primark

It need to not have cups in, obvious as that will make me look deflated

Mr Mad is on more than a promise - I am renewed in vigor and he has been a star during all this

agree you dont need cups.

£25 isnt that expensive for nightwear, especially when confidence is at stake.

morningpaper is right about Primark actually. You could buy lots of different style things, try them all on, take back all the ones you dont like and buy 15 colours in the one you do like

morningpaper · 26/03/2009 19:08

oooer good for you

I have a friend with a fabbie reconstruction, it's very impressive

she showed me adn offered to show my mother and my mother nearly fainted

morningpaper · 26/03/2009 19:09

(not at the thought of a reconstruction, just at the thought of a filthy naked breast)

TheMadHouse · 26/03/2009 19:14

MP - I had a reconstruction at the same time as the bi-lateral mastectomy, but unfortunatly is failed and had to be reversed a fortnight later.

So I am giving myself time to heal and will reconsider later.

I am having stitches out tomorrow, so may make a trip to primark in the afternoon - date night here we come

ahh I see, sorry to hear that, what a nightmare

Primark is the way forward though, I feel
