Can anyone tell me if these are comfortable because to me they do not look it and wondering whether to get some for my daughter for our hols.
Are they slippy when they get wet and are they suitable for slim feet which she has because they look very wide. Last question-does anyone know which high street shops sell these? THANKS

My ds loves his, wears them all year round. I would try and get the real Crocs though, rather than the copy versions, as the rubber is a lot softer and more comfortable.
Not sure about high street stores, I get ours from a local country stores place where they're cheaper, or online.

Flutterbye · 25/03/2009 20:34

They are wide but good for my slim footed 2 year old, they were fab for her popping in and out of our tent last year 'cause she could do them herself. Millions of shops have them, dep if you want proper crocs or not. Next, M&S, Primark, etc all have their own makes. I got some for £1 from a cheapie sports shop and added some Dora charms from ebay. Slippery inside shoe or bottom of shoe???, not very either way. Very practical shoes if not too glam!

Lilyloo · 25/03/2009 20:37

My dd has slim (f clarks fit) and her crocs were fine.

Lot's of high street stores sell them
Next or most shoe stores.
Check online some good deals there.

I saw somw in Tesco for £3 today.

Am debating whether or not to get some for ds1 this year - think for that price I might as well get some and see how we get on!

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2009 20:42

Mine live in them from about now onwards.

The mary jane ones were no good shapewise for DD, she is delighted to be back in normal ones.

I go for the real ones

hazeyjane · 25/03/2009 20:50

I'd like to get some for dd's, does anyone know what size is best to get with half sizes, bigger or smaller (they are 5 1/2 and 6 1/2)?

(sorry for hijack!)

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2009 20:51

lookatmycrazyshoes.com (or co.uk) has the sizes in UK sizes so it is easier to see.

I can't remember what we went with

littlelamb · 25/03/2009 20:52

My dd would wear them all year round if I let her. I was convinced that they would rub without socks on but they are fine. I would buy as soon as you can if past years are anything to go by- as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer all the kids sizes go out of stock.

miche8 · 25/03/2009 21:50

my son has very narrow feet width 'e' in clarks and his crocs are fine. He can put these on quickly himself and wears them as slippers around the house. I agree they make your feet look big but i also have narrow feet and they fitted fine and i have a pair i use around the house/holidays. My kitchen floor is very slippery when wet, never slipped when wearing my crocs.

spikemomma · 25/03/2009 22:52

Best kids shoes and slippers - which actually stay on! We are a skinny feet family and they fit fine. They are so practical, versatile and comfortable, once bitten, you won't go back, which is a bummer for a grown up, as they are not the prettiest on an adult!

gibba8 · 26/03/2009 19:58

Thanks everyone for the replies-think we will have to invest in a pair for our hols.

Oh and you can bung them in the washing machine and they come out looking brand new..

AnyFucker · 26/03/2009 20:05

oh, best investment you will ever make for kids

but get the real ones

Office do 'em

they come up good as new in the washing machine and no more cries of "I can't get my shoes on/off" especially if you are the type who make 'em take their shoes off at the door

great for the beach/pool too

tassisssss · 26/03/2009 20:08

My dd had the next ones last year and they were great. I've managed to get ds's in aldi for the past 2 summers and have a pair put away for this year.

MmeLindt · 26/03/2009 20:09

My two wont wear anything else from now till October, they love them.

Get the real ones, the cheap ones are not as good, and I was told recently that some of them had some doggy chemicals in them.

My DS had a bit of a problem in Kindergarten last year, he would leave it too late to go to the loo and wee in his pants. Crocs were great instead of slippers as the teacher just washed them off and he could put them back on again.

Marne · 26/03/2009 20:13

Dd(5) tends to fall over in the normal crocs but gets on well with the mary jane crocs. Her feet are slim.
