Is this too summery for a winter wedding?

www.annascholz.com/online-store/dresses/viscose-jersey-maxi-frill-dress.html

would have to have it altered to add sleeves or get some sort of shrug, as need to have arms covered to the elbow ..

worried the pink makes it too summery? and if i buy it now, will i be bored of it by November when the wedding is?

thanks x

I don't like it. It's jersey so will be qute cold for a winter wedding. Also that style of long dress doesn't look good with sleeves or a shrug etc.

You are very forward thinking though, why not keep an eye out when sales start?

LetThemEatCake · 25/03/2009 13:14

since you have ages yet, I'd hold out for something that doesn't need altering. Winter clothes will be in the shops by about August, so you will still have 3 months. Think a shrug would ruin the dress (too busy with the ruffles too) and for £154, I'd want something that was just right as is, no alterations necessary.

Think pink is fine for winter though!

lulu - the green is divine

i like the 1st one but it is too summery

Have you been on Isabella Oliver - they have started doing non maternity wear and it is v nice

Lulumama · 25/03/2009 14:05

i haven't, i do love anna scholz, but can;t work out the pricing.. eg short ruffly dress is 3 times the price of maxi dress.

the green is glorious, but too dear, add in shoes , accesories etc and you are looking at £500 ( the cost of my new kitchen windows!)

anyhoo, what you gonna wear?

are you back at work?

rubyslippers · 25/03/2009 14:06

no idea what i will wear - will be a tad tricky for me

deffo hold you in pants though!

am at work

Lulumama · 25/03/2009 14:08

i got good holdy in pants from M&S. it is like a pair of holdy in knickers with a skirt type thing over the top, so better under a dress/skirt.

we are looking forward to seeing you v v soon..
