Would love some too so bumping for you

GrapefruitMoon · 25/03/2009 14:02

Someone was recommending Gap ones recently for comfort - no idea what price they were though...

georgiemum · 25/03/2009 14:04

Not Clarkes. They fall to bits really quickly but then I htink that I am quite heavy in my shoes.

hotCheeseBURNS · 25/03/2009 14:05

I had a cheap pair (£10 in the sale, reduced from £40 IIRC) from Office last year. I wore them to death and now they are full of holes so I need new ones! Will be looking in Office again when I have some money.

Topshos ballet pumps are usually (or used to be) very comfy. And not expen sive

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/03/2009 14:24

I had some last year from New Look which I have worn to death and they are still fine and are incredibly comfortable but I bought a second pair (different style/colour etc.) which were nowhere near as comfy and has fallen to bits..

Sorry - that particular recommendation was pretty useless wasn't it ?

largeginandtonic · 25/03/2009 14:30

I have these they are so comfy. No annoying dig in the back of the heel either.

They come in various colours.

largeginandtonic · 25/03/2009 14:32

561166 is the product number. The link will not work.

101handbags · 25/03/2009 15:53

Have a look on the Next website, they have a range called 'Sole Reviver' and once you have got through the frumpy shoes they have some nice leather ballet pumps with bows on etc. and various colours. I know they are comfortable as I have 2 pairs in different colours and I wore them all week in Paris last week walking around.

hotCheeseBURNS · 27/03/2009 09:15

Anyone have any experience of Boden's flats?

Bellebelle · 27/03/2009 09:41

H&M have some satin looking ones for £10 just now, they come in black or pink. I can't believe how comfy they are as tbh often expect such cheap shoes to rub but they really don't.

Galava · 27/03/2009 09:43

I have a pair of Jasper Conran ones from Debenhams.

About £15 and really comfy. Will probably get this summer out of theem too.

stripeytiger · 27/03/2009 10:16

I bought a pair from Primark. They were really cheap, about £6.00 or something, maybe £8.00. I expected them to fall apart as I wear them a lot, but they are lasting well and are as comfy as a pair of slippers.

Hope this is helpful.

fishie · 27/03/2009 11:17

gap are all sold out i think, only saw them in coral and all gone now.

i've got bodens. they are good but not worth full price.

Jojay · 27/03/2009 16:18

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone - I will hit the high street and have a few trying on sessions!

M&S pewter leather pleated ones.

minko · 27/03/2009 18:11

Had some Clarkes' ones last year that looked innocent enough (quilted sole, soft leather etc) but ripped my feet to pieces...

janeite · 27/03/2009 18:13

My Clarks ones are lovely now but I had to survive several days of plasters before getting them to that state.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 27/03/2009 18:13

Office don't have any of the ballet pumps anymore

Or least the branch I went to in Bristol.

They all had bows on them

kellise · 28/03/2009 09:40

Next & theres a sale coming up soon.

FannyJo · 28/03/2009 09:44

I tried some Next ones but found them uncomfortable
I just got two pairs from Primark for £4 each!! and they are lovely and comfy!

monkeysmama · 28/03/2009 13:51

I got some lovely looking snakeskin ones in Wallis but they are the most uncomfortabel shoes I have ever worn (& that's saying something!)

squeaver · 28/03/2009 13:53

Mine are from Hobbs and they're pretty good.

I wonder how many more summers before ballet pumps go out of style?
