We are off to Florida/Disney for the first time ever in around 6 weeks and are travelling down to Glasgow to do our clothes shopping next weekend
My list:-

  1. Very comfy but stylish shoes for doing the parks.
  1. Comfy yet good looking trousers for the flight and while in Florida.
  1. Nice summery tops
  1. Summer dresses

Budget= not very much
Time to shop=not very long

Where should I start my search?
Oh and I am a hippy saddle baggy mum of 36 and a half

clarks / Primark?

MrsMattie · 20/03/2009 16:18

Shoes - don't laugh, but have a look at M&S Footglove range. It's incredibly comfortable and they have a few decent styles these days, in amongst the granny slippers

Summer dresses/tops - Dorothy Perkins has a nice new Spring/Summer range.

H&M has some nice, cheap summer stuff (amongst the 80s neon teenybopper hideosity!).

Wallis & Monsoon have some more 'grown up' dresses and Monsoon has some lovely colourful tops/tunics/kaftans.

Primark is always worth a look. New Look have the latest styles in sandal/shoes for dirt cheap and I can honestly say, I have always found their shoes comfy (and I have very sensitive feet).

Don't buy too much, though. Save some cash to shop when you're there. Orlando has some good outlet malls and even with the pound fairly weak against the dollar, there are bargains to be had. Don't even think about buying sporty stuff here - get thee to the big Nike outlet shop on International Drive. Silly prices!

Sliverburn

Thanks all. I knew that primark shoes looked good and in fashion, but didn't think they'd be very comfortable.

MrsMattie, I'll take a look at all of those shops, thanks, and will bear that in mind for the nike outlet, I always think running/fitness gear here is so expensive, so looking forward to that.

Thanks for the silverburn link, seb1, what is your opinion of silverburn? my mother thinks it is full of expensive shops, but I've never been.

Well it has Tesco extra which has a big clothes bit and TKMaxx which are both good for baragins, The H&M has a kids section. M&S is pretty big. Plus a lot of the usual shops. Braehead has a primark but it is always a muddle apparently primark in Greenock is well laid out and like a real shop. Matalan has a clearance place at Renfrew but it has no fitting rooms which is a pain.
