Broken veins - I look like something from a Fisherman's Friend ad!

What can I do about them? I'm not that bloody old, although I do spend a lot of time outdoors in horrible weather. I could be described as ruddy and weatherbeaten

You might have rosacea. Do you blush easily, especially if you eat spicy food / drink red wine? In which case, topical Metronidazole gel or oral antibiotics (if you're not pg or bf) could make a difference or at least stop it getting any worse.

No, I don't blush particularly easily. But I do have very, very fair skin and naturally rosy cheeks. DP describes my skin tone as "blue"

I don't think spicy food or red wine makes me blush - please, please tell me I don't have to give up either of those things? Feck, red wine or preserving my youth - who could decide?!
