Disney Dressing-up Clothes Size Advice Wanted Please

My DDs want a Giselle (Enchanted) dress and an Ariel (Mermaid) dress for a party. They are fairly average sizes bodywise and a bit taller than average for their ages.

DD1 is 6 and DD2 is 7 1/2.

Should I get 7-8 for both or 9-10 for the eldest. Don't want to swamp them but want the the dresses to last.

I would get 7 - 8 for youngest and trade up to 9-10 for eldest. They won't be outrageously large and for the price I would want some wear out of them too If it is a little roomy you could always pin it to make it more fitted.

It is so frustrating- why do clothes companies miss out an age? This time it is 8-9, but I find many shops just miss one size from their range altogether!
