Get the long leg ones that go up to the top of your ribs.

HumphreyCobbler · 17/03/2009 20:44

they do push the fat up a bit though

JeanPoole · 17/03/2009 20:44

I've got 2 types of Spanx. One is awful and I've never worn it, one is brilliant. I'll try to link.

babyOcho · 17/03/2009 20:45

I have some spanx - they go from just under by boobs to my knees. Quite comfy once they are on and do make quite a difference.

cornsilk · 17/03/2009 20:46

Yes they're nice. Amazon have some nice shoes in their 75% clearance as well.

mrsmaidamess · 17/03/2009 20:46

I reckon Matalan ones are the best. From under boobs to mid thigh, there's no spilling over and they make me drop a size-ish.

cornsilk · 17/03/2009 20:49

spanx I've got slim cognito which are rubbish and power pants which are brilliant. (From your description on the other thread you sound like you have a similar figure to mine.)

YaddaYaddaYadda · 17/03/2009 20:51

I've got some and I think they're amazing! The only drawback is that they squish your bladder to the size of a pea and you have to go to the loo more often... but worth it for a flat tum

JeanPoole · 17/03/2009 20:54

cornsilk that link didn't work.

i think i will try them then, when i know what to get

cornsilk · 17/03/2009 20:55

oooh what's on the link then - works for me!

BarbaraWoodlouse · 17/03/2009 20:56

These were remarkably effective under an evening dress but pretty uncomfortable as the evening progressed.

Ended up sharing the secret with all and sundry who then poked me and were remarkably complimentary about my buns of steel "Batfink" pants. Not quite the image I was shooting for!

BarbaraWoodlouse · 17/03/2009 20:57

Am also now PMSL at the fact that they are described online as "camel".

JeanPoole · 17/03/2009 21:00

cornsilk says something about cookies.

lol thanks yes i think i will need something higher otherwise i might end up with a very odd tummy

It's not something horrible is it? I once tried to link a picture of Keanu and a horrid veiny man came up instead.

JeanPoole · 17/03/2009 21:21

pmsl, no its not a horrid veiny man lol

I have something called a "miracle suit" which is basically like a corset of elastic with bones in that goes from hips to just under your boobs which is good. Also John Lewis tummy support tights work very well and are comfortable too, plus because they are shiny, they make your legs look thinner - bonus!
