Pregnant lady asks: "can anyone help me with my S/S09 wardrobe?"

having avidly perused all of the S/S09 trend reports, have decided that the only one that will work for me, given that I am due in September, is the 70s one. (also the one that appeals most to my non-pregnant self - the Dynasty look?? Puh-LEASE!!!)

So... where, how, what? Please. Am thinking, for starters, denim flares, cork wedgey platform things, lots of embroidered-y tops, la la la, hippy dippy, ain't life one big psychedelic rainbow (of baby vomit)

About me: 36yo, 5'10", usually a size 10, don't tend to gain much weight in pregnancy (mostly just the bump, IYSWIM) and, um, forgive me, but my taste leans towards high end more than high street. Having said that, however, am happy to go cheap and cheerful for clothes that will only be relevant for the next 6 months (of my pregnancy, that is) as long as they don't look overtly cheap.

Hope you lot can help

I think if you go flare, and flowy hippy tops, that you may just feel (and look) HUGE whether you are or not. Maybe go for a flattering bootcut - or better yet skinny jean - with hippy tops, or go for flare jeans with fitted tops.

Well, I bought both of these and found them excellent:

bootcut jeans from seraphine

skinny jean seraphine

Although topshop are great for regular skinny jeans, I am sure there maternity options will be good too.

Tops-wise, this is nice over a vest:
tunic top

And I think a top like this would look great with almost anything:
flattering top

Isabella oliver are great for tops too, but stay away from their jeans and trousers, they are of very poor quality.

Any of these good for you? If not, are there ant particular things you do not like, or any colours you do?
