Has anyone bought a made-to-measure bra?

From the likes of say Rigby and Peller? I am fed up with my ill fitting bras and even going to M&S, John Lewis and getting measured does not make any difference. I clearly am not the right shape for any of their standard bras. I have very small gap between shoulders and boobs and the shoulder straps are always too big, even when adjusted to the smallest size.

I am considering, as a special treat for myself, getting 1 bra made to measure.

Has anyone done this? Would you recommend it? How much? etc etc.

It doesn't need to be R&P, go to a proper lingerie shop.
A trained fitter will look at you and know what size and style you need.

These are usually staffed by more mature women not young shop assistants.

Underwire bras need hand washing or put them in a net bag.
The wires can come out and end up inside the washing machine.

OP I rate Bravissimo over R&P. Maybe I was unlucky with my fitting at R&P but i wasn't overly impressed and had a smallish selection of suitable bras for me.

Bravissimo has always hugely impressed me - i'd go so far as to say that they offer probably the only decent customer service that you get anywhere on the high street (and no, I dont' work for them, I'm just pretty fussy) They actually know their stock well, and offer suggestions for your specific boob/frame type. Please try them (also cheaper than R&P)
