Tunic tops for pear shapes?

I'd love a top that gracefully conceals my ample thighs and arse, but most tunic tops leave me looking pregnant as they are not fitted enough from bust to waist.

I think something that is fairly fitted over the bust down to the waist, then A line to mid-thigh would be best.

I'd anticipate wearing leggings underneath this.

Is it even advisable, and if so where are they to be found? I'm a size 16-ish, 5 foot 5 with a smallish bust and reasonably defined waist. Oh and a huge arse and thighs (as previously mentioned).

How about a wrap style one in a jersey fabric- but I am not sure about leggings tbh...

Or what about worh with slim cropped jeans instead?

not leggings with a huge arse and thighs .. they leave nothing to the imagination

I don't have a particularly large bum/legs but they are chunkier than I would like and there's no way I'd wear leggings - slim cropped jeans waaay more flattering

How about these from Boden?

pintuck merino tunic

and this one

ooh thanks for replies everyone

Really no leggings - not even with quite a long tunic???

Reading this has clarified for me that I'm trying to avoid anything too clingy/wrappy below the waist due to clinging to lumpage. So maybe something a quite tailored, made of something not too stretchy.

Mrs JS - I like the second Boden one, and it's a nice colour too. (Is it me, or is she fondling that pair of tomatoes rather suggestively )

I've also got a bit of a tummy (which I failed to mention before). So jeans or anything with a bumpy fly can make an annoying bump underneath long tops, which is the main reason I was hoping to get away with leggings. I will experiment with narrow jeans, though those are foreign territory for me (I also have quite stumpy fat legs - god I'm sounding really attractive now, aren't I!).

From memory, Toast have a couple of tunics which might work too.
