Having hair done next week- what to do?

I currently have slightly scruffy hair which is wavy. I have it cut every six weeks and highlighted every other time. My hair care routine is generally - wash, scrunch, leave to dry. Or dry with diffuser if in big hurry. But am bored. Have posted pics of me on profile- some questions for you all;

Would I suit shorter or longer hair? Shall I leave to grow? I like the curliness of it but it only has a slight wave naturally- in pics hair has been sprayed with curly spray and scrunched. Can I curl hair that length or is it too short? If i have my hair cut really short will i regret it?

Help me?

Actually you have similar hair type to mine wavy and fine. I have recently had my hair done in a cut that I like for the first time in ages. It is a bit longer than yours, not a bob shape, but gradually tapering from just below the ears to shoulder length, shortish very ragged layers all over so that it flicks up a bit at the ends. Shortish side parting. I basically dry it qickly trying to keep it quite straight and then use a bit of 'product' at the ends. People think it takes years off me 'cos its quite funky. Looks good with a slide too.

I read it back and it sounds like I am describing a mullet lol. Wish I had a pic to show you!

Wow, shoulder length would take a good while to grow though!

I like your hair. It's very cute and girly. I'm getting my shoulder length hair hacked off next week as I keep finding lumps of hair fricking everywhere.

The problem is though it can look crap v easily and I have to wash it every single morning or it gets flattened. As does it when I wear a hat in theatres. But that is by the by.

Plus I am just bored. But, maybe if it ain't broke and all that...my hair is temperamental at any length i suppose. And at least i don't have to tie back for work.

Johnny that's why I think getting a bit of length but with some very ragged layers would work. A scruffy style that looks a bit funky. But agree you look lovely anyway. My hair is exactly the same, it's wavy but goes flat easily. I think it took me about 7 months to grow from your length to my present length.

Do you know the film 'Play Misty for me' with Clint Eastwood? My hair is a bit like his girlfriend's in the film but with a side parting. A very odd example sorry, it's all I can think of, I have a photo of a specific cut and I take it in with me.

JohnnyTwoHats · 13/03/2009 10:11

hmm, not sure if I would suit that cut from what I remember.

jeepers, you do look young!
Agree with izyboy, your hair looks lovely as it is but scruffy layers would look good too.

please remember to post the 'after' pictures

I know... I get asked for ID all the time. Quite proud when I am asked, think the grin proves more than the driving license! I even got asked for ID once when I was doing the weekly shop with exdp and DD who was 4 at the time!
