I've been looking at breastfeeding dresses but not found one which isn't sack-like or otherwise hideous!

TIA

How about a shirt dress? It's black but you could go monochrome and wear a cream/white cardie over the top to brighten it up.

I'm going to one on Saturday with a 18 week old and wearing a strapless one...easy access all round.

I'm not at all sure how many 8-weeks-post-natal women could wear something this fitted and va va voom (certainly not me, from past experience) and know the whole issue of wearing black to a wedding is still an iffy one but hey ho, what about this

Yep, I wore a shirt dress for a wedding when my little one was BFing with a stretchy vest top underneath. it worked really well and I didn't feel mumsy.

A wrap dress is the another option. This is very pretty and the silk would make you feel fantastic!:

I wore a wrap dress to a wedding last year and fed successfully in the church - it was from monsoon I think - it was quite tight around the belly though and so I was a bit self conscious but I should have gone for one with a really busy pattern and then my belly would have been camouflaged - like a big elephant in the corner of the room with a throw slung over it ahem...but dont let that put you off...

I think that you can wear anything if you've got a cardi or wrap to put round your shoulders whilst you are feeding. I would try to find something that you like and will wear again rather than focusing too much on the feeding.
