Dark blue denim jeans, straight leg?

Where should I look? I think Skinny are too tight/tarty looking for the school run, so need nice classy looking straight leg. Can anyone name a nice, sophisticated mid-priced range? I've checked Boden...nothing.

Thanks in advance!

Uniqlo?

BirdyArms · 09/03/2009 23:21

I have GAP 'straight leg' cords, I think they do the same style in jeans, which might be OK. As per other jeans thread I have big thighs so they are fairly tight on my thighs but might be what you're looking for if you're more normal shaped.

Thanks guys. I will check out Uniqlo but fear it may be a bit funky for me. I did have Gap in mind, but just wondered if there was a slightly more unusual/posher name I haven't heard of. Not really sure what I'm after.

Great Plains did nice ones last year but can't find anything suitable this year.

monsoon jeans can be suprisingly good....

i have gap straight leg - the only prob is that you cant do boots under them

misshardbroom · 10/03/2009 08:28

I got fab Seven for All Mankind straight legs for £35 in (whisper it quietly) TKMaxx

castille · 10/03/2009 08:41

Not unusual or posh, but Levi's 570s, dark wash, straight leg are a fab fit on me.

alicecrail · 10/03/2009 08:45

I have got some fantastic wranglers that i have had for years which are the best cut with very slight stretch to them (makes it easier to get them done up when they come off the radiator) also the same as castille my levi 507's (which i'm determined to get back into!)
Also have you looked at joules?

White Stuff might be worth a look if you don't want funky.

I've just bought Scarlet from Oasis which are dark blue, slightly flared and very flattering. They are quite clingy on the arse but as they're stretchy they act like a girdle (I think!)

Levis 627s are nice. Fairly high-waisted, straight narrowish leg, quite fitted around the bum area. Good quality, too. I think they're about £60.

Topshop Martha jeans.

Sossy · 11/03/2009 22:58

Thanks all, got some excellent ideas now. I never thought I was young enough for Topshop but those Martha jeans do look nice.

I will check them all out. Thanks again.

fit

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 11/03/2009 23:16

Top Shop Martha jeans are brilliant. Not "skinny" or tight but just a really fab and flattering fit.
