Where the heck do I find a mascara that doesn't run and leave a dark smudge under my lower lashes?!

i would also like to know as i have never found one that actualy does as it says on the bottle.

fishie · 09/03/2009 14:59

those tube ones are meant to be good for this but haven't tried. blinc?

PinkPussyCat · 09/03/2009 15:00

Will watch thread as I have the exact same problem MPP! Even the waterproof ones don't stay put on me...

brimfull · 09/03/2009 15:00

just put it on you upper lashes

PinkPussyCat · 09/03/2009 15:03

ggirl, I have tried that too, it still migrates south (like everything else lol!)

littlerach · 09/03/2009 15:05

I use a maybelline one, in a pink tube and it is brilliant.

MakkaPakkasPacamac · 09/03/2009 15:54

I do put it on upper lashes only and like PPP it still runs! littlerach, I ended up throwing away my pink-tubed Maybelline one as it was the worst of all! (though it could have been a different one to yours)... I had Blinc recommended to me on another thread so I may try that...

Can highly recommend blinc. Definitely water proof and easy to take on and off.

FlorenceAndtheWashingMachine · 09/03/2009 19:40

Yep, Blinc is great and it comes off completely when you do want to remove it. I can't wear it to swim in, but it is fine for everything else.

brimfull · 09/03/2009 19:43

revlon colourstay 3 day mascara works I wear it wehn I'm on nights as it doesn't budge

PinkPussyCat · 09/03/2009 20:09

Right have just bought some Blinc stuff... will try + remember that Revlon one too for future reference. Will report back re Blinc

bran · 09/03/2009 20:12

I use Becca which I think is similar to Blinc in it's formulation. I have the occasional tiny flake but no smudgeing.

MakkaPakkasPacamac · 09/03/2009 20:47

Fab - thanks ladies! Looks like Blinc or the Revlon one is the next to try - Pussycat, I look fwd to hearing what you think about the Blinc!

Bobbi Brown smudge proof pretty much is that. Would give it 9.5 out of 10 (compared to max of 7 for every crappy disappointing other one I've tried!)

Louloumum · 10/03/2009 18:55

blinc is fab!

MakkaPakkasPacamac · 10/03/2009 19:12

I've just ordered some Bobbi Brown smudge-proof - thanks for the recommendation, Breeding. The QVC website was full of fantastic reviews for it...

Breedinglikeone · 10/03/2009 19:46

I feel a bizarre sense of joy that I have spread the word of smudge free happiness - enjoy!

MakkaPakkasPacamac · 11/03/2009 14:36

I am very excited - I want it to arrive NOW though

OP posts:
PinkPussyCat · 11/03/2009 14:49

Same here Makka - I am itching to try out my Blinc!

Sticksineye · 11/03/2009 20:35

Hmm. Don't want to down hearten you, but the one I've got is not on qvc - what did you order?

notperfectmum · 11/03/2009 22:10

Dior Iconic is fab - curls lashes and looks quite natural. I only use it on my top lashes and never suffer from panda eyes!

MakkaPakkasPacamac · 12/03/2009 13:14

Sticks, I got Bobbi Brown No Smudge (I couldn't see anything called Smudge Proof, this was the only one in the BB range that I thought it would be - eeeks, hope it's not a different one!) It's not on the QVC website now, it's sold out, I just saw some reviews for it on there.

here is what I ordered:

Dior Show is very good too - I used to have the same problem and have found this to be brilliant.

I do want some Blinc though now!

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 12/03/2009 18:55

I have used Max Factor Masterpiece mascara with good results. I recently had an "emergency dash to local chemist for mascara 5 mins before it shut or go without" moment and bought a Collection 2000 one. Neither smudge and are both reasonably priced.

I love Chanel make up but their mascara is pants, imo.

I have found, bizarrely, that I get less smudge with non-waterproof mascaras .
