Anyone remember those magazine things for buying your perfect makeup?

Remember those leaflets that you used to find in Just Seventeen, More and 19 magazines etc, they had about 50 questions wanting to know the colour of your skin, hair, eyes, lip, if you had freckles, blah blah blah.
After you filled it in and sent it off with payment they would send you your perfect makeup to suit you. I was lways desperate to do this but my mum would never let me.
Did anyone send this off and get the makeup?
I dont know why i thought of this today and then wondered if anyone actually tried it or not??

I did, and got the make-up, it was pretty good make-up, despite the fact I had to put on a green powder base underneath my foundation[green]

thst was supposed to be a in the last bracket.

was it any particular make? can you still get it? ha, i could get it now and tell me my mum how good it is, and she could have saved me all this money i've spent over the past 20 years on other makeup and i should have just brought that to start with!!

A friend of mine had that, I remember it being pretty good. Was it maybe called Mia?

I sent off for that kind of make-up, dont know if it was sent to me monthly or not. Think it was from Pia or something if I remember correctly (twas a long, ahem, long time ago)

NorktasticNinja · 07/03/2009 22:40

Pia! I think that was it...

I was soooooo jealous of her

dilemma01 · 08/03/2009 08:34

Yes, pia rings a bell, they also send you step by step instructions on how to apply it.

I did it and my mum went mad; made me send it back. I remember her giving me money so I could sent them a postal order, and making me go into the PO myself to buy it.
