I have really neglected my skin while I was pregnant and I need to start it up again. I am off into town tomorrow, hoping to treat myself! I am 38 btw

I have an oily t zone, prone to blackheads. Fair skinned. Normally buy Clinque kind of price range. Willing to spend if stuff works

Liz Earle stuff. Is fab. I use the cleanse and polish, which is less faff than it sounds, the moisturizer, the eye cream and the body wash, love them all, highly recommend.

I get mine online or there's a concession in the beauty section of my local John Lewis.

Is QVC the best place to buy LE?

OP posts:
flowerybeanbag · 04/03/2009 19:28

dunno, I've never bought anything from QVC. I just get it direct from Liz Earle own website or in town.

Just discovered bodyshop vitamin c range. Its transformed my life - no exaggeration. I have problem skin (tired dull old lady spots etc) and have resigned myself to splashing out £50 - £100 quid on face slap if it works and have used the high strength vit c from skinceuticals etc with good results but this stuff is much better. Cannot praise highly enough. Its not dirt cheap but comparable to Olay et.c

beanieb · 04/03/2009 20:18

I like the witch skincare stuff.

Eve Lom
Shell out be amazed

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/03/2009 20:22

I shelled out on the Estee Lauder Hydra complete (£32) and its made such a huge difference - my skin feels softer, more supple, pores have shrunk and I actually can go out without foundation!!!

I think what's needed in most cases, is just moisturisation - even for oily skin like mine. I also exfoliate twice a week with Benefit Honey Snap Out of It scrub..works a treat!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 04/03/2009 20:23

Dermalogica is quite good.

I have hyper sensitive skin, and their barrier repair is one of the few things that doesn't make my skin go red...

jujumaman · 04/03/2009 20:30

Eve Lom, I swear by - you don't need to exfoliate if you use it, does all that for you (plus tones and takes off make up). Still not cheap though

Dermatologists usually rec Dermalogica stuff, you can buy it online from Jersey and avoid the vat which makes it a bit less spenny.

I swear by Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (which you use both morning and evening). Have used it for 10 years or so and though I say so myself have vg skin [blush}

Also Strixaderm moisturisers and eye cream, I use and find brilliant

RipMacWinkle · 04/03/2009 20:45

Dermalogica.

Love it.
