do you reckon my MIL I can cut the lining of the pockets out if my MIL I stitch the pocket shut first?

The lumps of fabric ruin my silhouette! (hardly a life or death situation I know, but a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do).

I think that would be pretty straightforward. If it's slidy fabric, then stitch them shut first, otherwise I'd probably cut off the lining first to get it off more neatly, then sttich after.
