I have to go to a wedding in May and I need to find an outfit. I am RUBBISH at skirts and dresses, always seem to get it wrong, and am generally much more comfortable in trousers, but I'd like to give a go at finally finding a skirt shape that suits me!

Help oh wise style gurus...

Here's me:
I am 5'8" and size 14-16
I have a bit of a mummy-tummy which won't be leaving before the wedding!
I look better in V necks as I have a great cleavage but quite a short neck
I have some fantastically gorgeous knee length leather boots with heels that I'd like to wear if possible rather than teetery heeled shoes which are a bit too girly for me
I have long hair so could do up or down to suit collar/dress

Dresses always seem to make me look like a sack of spuds and accentuate all the wobbly bits!

Hmm, I sound like quasimodo.

aargh help!

Wrap dress or tulip skirt

Try Littlewood website. They are MUCH MUCH better than they used to be and have a great delivery and collection service. Really good range of clothes covering all prices and tastes, plus a 'shapefinder' thing that you can use to have a look at their suggestions of what might suit you.

I can't recommend highly enough TBH.

ooh that sounds good, thanks notyummy!
Will my boots go well with a wrap style outfit?

Wrap dress like this would look good with boots I think - and suit your shape and v-neck needs.

Or the other thing that would work is an A-line dress made of something quite stiff and heavy, that will skim but not show lumps and bumps. I have last year's version of this which is very good in that way.
