Have found a dress i like and can afford ish so please don't diss the dress too much, i have been looking for a dress for literally YEARS!!

Now what do i wear with it? TIghts? footless tights? (not up to actually shpowing my legs yet but happy to hide them)

What shoes? They must be covered toes, i can't "do" feet and they must be as cheap as poss ie absolutely no more than £30 and even then i will go to cheap shoe shop to find replicas first

NO footless tights.

Black opaques. High heeled round toed shoes.

(don't much like the dress though, sorry)

geordieminx · 26/02/2009 17:22

these perhaps

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 26/02/2009 17:24

MerlinsBeard · 26/02/2009 18:37

Ooh i like those TDWP.

I would like the others too if TDWP hadnt linked to the other ones!

fwiw i am only 27 so wouldn't look like mutton dressed as lamb, and will prob not get it once i have tried it on and grimaced heaved criticised my self in the mirror

Go there already in black tights, try on the dress with the shoes. I'm sure you will love it.

I love the shape and colour of the dress, just not keen on the belt bit.

Ronaldinhio · 26/02/2009 23:12

I'm not sure about the dress for the coming season...tbh

What do you love about it?

samsonara · 26/02/2009 23:40

I think this type of drape and the grecian style dresses are meant to be worn with those gladiator sandals but if you don't want to show your toes, then maybe something like these courts?
Black tights and these shoes maybe?

courts

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 26/02/2009 23:50

Oh those shoes are u.g.l.y

As are gladiator sandals, unless on a model in the med.

MerlinsBeard · 27/02/2009 13:37

shoe issues solved, i have a pair of borrowed shoe boots (they do look nice)

And i don't care about "coming season" lol! I am not very fashionable anyway

Now got to rid myself of the husband and children and have an hour or so BY MYSELF!

Dress is pretty but might make you look a bit 'hippy' unless you are very skinny. I am a size 8 and look lumpy around the hips if clothes are baggy.

MerlinsBeard · 27/02/2009 13:54

oh no i don't want to be "hippy" i am an 8/10 now after a very gruelling workout/super diet but i still have work to do. Will make sure i try on the next size to see.

oh nooo i really like it too I don't have much in the way of hips does that make a difference?

Whoever said about the belt - it's removable
