big pores, can anything 'close' them again?

i read about a clarins product on here but is there anything cheaper that works? and do they all only work for a short term?

Lots of gentle exfoliation, daily, and an excellent moisturiser, is the best way of improving skin texture.

Exfoliation only need mean a clean rough flannel and some very gentle soap rubbed over your face (until it is smooth and squeaky clean) in your morning shower. And of course you need to remove your make up scrupulously every night.

I use the Boots time delay microdermabrasion kit - it includes the moisturiser. It's a tenner, but does seem to last for a while and I buy it with points. I hadn't used it when pregnant and then started up again recently and DH noticed how "fresh and clean" my face looked (unprompted comment). I think that keeping open pores at bay is a lifelong problem though as mine re-opened when I wasn't using it.

i don't really exfoliate much so will try that. thanks.

i've used a tester version of the microdermabrasion thing so will try that again i remember it made my skin red for a bit .

Exfoliate once a week and use No7 Protect & Perfect Serum beneath your regular moisturiser. It works brilliantly.

Clinque pore minimiser. Tis magic. Quite expensive but you only need a tiny amount and lasts ages.

Yes, I like the clinique pore minimiser stuff - just fills in the pores temporarily, rather than getting rid of them completely, iyswim, but it really does the trick.
