Feeling past it, what can I do to give myself a lift?

Am 37. Not a terrible age, but I just feel as though it's all downhill from here. I don't feel attractive any more. What do you do to pick yourselves up when you feel similar?

yoga helps you move like you were 20 instead of creaking around like a granny and huffing and puffing when you get out of a chair you can strut your wheel and backdrops on all those threads bemoaning how easy it used to be to do a cartwheel. with significantly less risk of fracture than ice skating or roller blading :P

Oh gosh yes - iceskating is fab but last time I went I sprained my wrist really badly falling over OFF the ice!!!

Cod would have told you go to Mac - so "Get thee to Mac and buy lovely blusher and some primer" !!

I went to the library the other day with the exact same question about how to feel attractive again. In about 30 minutes I found some great ideas, I went home and looked on the net as well..below is a summary of what I found.

-give yourself a firm exfoliation each morning (a few seconds with cold water and firm finger tips/ or rub ground oats which I blend myself)

-wear clothes that look good on your body shape. There was a great Trinny and Susannah book on it. I also was looking a site that has plus size sleepwear that I could wear around home and still feel attractive (for those days when I don't manage to get out of my pajamas). I am sure most of you have heaps of this sort of fashion I am sure- us ozzies are a little behind you guys.

-Natural, cheap and quick makeup tips for any occasion: dump the foundation,. just use concealer on the places that need it. Be sure to add it under your eyes and on the eyelid- this helps with eyeshadow, add blush to your apples of your cheeks, temples and chin(Weird I know but it works), sweep mascara over eyelashes, a little gloss. You can wear this to a wedding seriously, its great.

-make a schedule- write it down. With all the needed flexibility- e.g nap/put load of washing on. This helps us all to get the most out of our day and we feel good inside.

-hmmm...heaps more. I am blabbing on now. Anyway if you want a few more ideas let me know....
