I'd like big, bouncy hair - carmen rollers?

I have longish layered hair that's very thick, without the layers it just hangs. I'd like it to be big and bouncy and lovely and am not sure how to get this - I wondered if carmen rollers are the answer. Anyone know?

Yes, or just normal large rollers - roll up while wet with a small amount of mousse and leave to dry.

God I had my hair blow dried and put in rollers at the hair dresser , it was fanastic. I hae a couple of velcros I use at home on the crown but nothing like this.
i was like " is he or isnt she"

I would invest in some very large velco rollers..

wash and dry your hair upside down, paying particular attention to the roots, this will give you lift.

make sure your hair is dry

taking large sections wrap the rollers round your hair making sure you have the hair held away from your head again so you get lift and not drag.. like this

wind the hair the direction your want your hair to go, ie, fringe down or to the side, sides under or back
once the rollers are in place spray with hair spray.. a light spray from arms length.

after 5 mins take the rollers out gently,

turn your head up side down and run your fingers through your hair

volia

volume and bounce

I wouldn't do it from wet as with your thick hair it would take too long to dry and don't bother with carmens unless you like the king charles look

Thank you ladies, I'll get some velcro rollers this week and report back, aiming for Farrah Fawcett look .
