To me it looks a bit shapeless, you really need something to skim over your curves and not drown them in swathes of expensive (£99!) fabric. How about something with one or two buttons so you won't have to wear a belt to hold it together, and a deep V neck, in a medium chunky knit but not too fluffy as they always make you look huge. Wrap cardigans are flattering too. Can't help you with links, though, I don't tend to shop within that price range. Hope this helps.

grouse · 17/02/2009 20:03

thanks hidetheribbons

Don't worry I don't shop in that price range either DH would have a hissy fit & I couldn't even if I had the money. Just looking for a style really.

If you get below a 10 I say yes, it is absolutely lovely. If you are 12 or above it may look a bit shapeless.
You need to be willowy.

LoveMyLapTop · 17/02/2009 20:06

I think it would drown you if you are only a size 8

hidetheribbons · 17/02/2009 20:12

How about something like this (just as an example):

Spaceman · 17/02/2009 20:20

Oh god no - OP go with your original idea. I've two cardi's like the one hidetheribbons suggest and they are completely frumpy.

grouse · 17/02/2009 21:30

Thanks ladies...I have to agree with Spaceman, I 'm not sure I like the one hidetheribbons suggested either...sorry
Also, I am aspiring to get back to a size 8 am still a size 12, and if you could see me now, I am wearing a black gypsy type maternity skirt, DHs socks upto my knees and a tatty old top with baby sick on it..ooh didn't brush my hair today...did do teeth & shower.

Go for one like the first- I got a similar one from Jigsaw and wear it A LOT. I think it was £79, a lot but worth it I think. Just make sure you're not wearing it with anything baggy underneath and I think you'd be fine. Also wearing it with a long skirt wouldn't work!
