I'm not a fatty cod! I'm pregnant...so there ha! Give me 6 months and I'll be a fatty again though lol

NomDePlume · 11/04/2005 16:14

It took about 5 attempts to make sense of that last post Cod !

hotmama · 11/04/2005 16:14

Well my oldest (in fact only) pair of jeans are 17 years old! Lovely pair of Levi 501s that I wore when I was a 21 year old student.

Since then I have put on weight - constantly - and now I am making the most of my maternity leave by joining weightwatchers and going to the gym. Have lost 22lbs since Xmas - and am going to look a hotmama in those babies by the end of the summer - then buy some more up to date - but I think I am told old to do the cropped jeans and spikey heel look - think I will look a bit mutton.

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:15

hipster jeans are the most uncomfortable things though

makes me reallyc onscious of post-baby flab, I like my button to do up at my waist

PsychoFlame · 11/04/2005 16:16

I was really conscious, and then I looked round at all these girls with teeny waists who STILL ooze, and felt better

BadHair · 11/04/2005 16:17

Have a pair of 501s from about 10 years ago that I still occasionally wear. They do give me a rather attractive bulge, though, so I have to wear something long on top.

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 11/04/2005 16:17

You're right! Even the malformed scallies around here with no hips have the bulges!

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:19

ANd hipster trousers show your pants when you bend over, that really isn't attractive - I really don't want to see people's g-string it looks horrible

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:19

AND you can't really fit loads of crap in the pockets

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:20

AND the 'long' tops invariably shrink in the wash

yah boo sucks to it, that's what I say

PsychoFlame · 11/04/2005 16:20

Neither of us care much if people see our g-strings... we can't see it!! A good excuse to buy pretty backed ones... We do make sure they aren't old ones with holes

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:20

You're quite right, Twiglett

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:20

Yes I am aren't I?

Twiglett · 11/04/2005 16:21

Oh, you who art so wise

3 years

Bugsy2 · 12/04/2005 12:34

Have a pair of grey 501 style jeans that I bought in 1989 which I still wear on slim days!

Bozza · 12/04/2005 12:41

Avoid putting stuff in my pockets twiglett because it makes me look like i have got big hips.

I have a pair of gardening jeans that are 8 or 9 years old but I am thinking of getting rid because the zip won't stay up. They are precisely the style described by Cod. Oldest others are a pair of Levis but they are a bit too high waist, straight leg, got them before DS was conceived and he's 4.2 so doing the sums think they miss the five year deadline.

Listmaker · 12/04/2005 12:44

Cod you are sooooo right! My SIL lost loads of weight and then fitted back into these disgusting drainpipe jeans with waist up to her arm pits and looked terrible! Ahat a waste of all that effort!

I never keep them more than a year or two - then again I keep putting on weight so can't fit into them anymore - good excuse to buy the latest trends! I don't go too much for the hipster look - with my HUGE arse that would frighten the horses!

The thought of drainpipes coming back horrifies me - I mean who looks good in them except whippet thin 16 year olds ffs??

The flares balance out my arse a bit - they aren't THAT flared but it helps!!
