Does anyone have the Boden patent leather handbag from autumn/winter 08?

Just wondering what it is like in real life. I have had to return the autograph bag my dp bought me for christmas as it was shedding! So got my £80 back and I noticed the Boden bag which I quite like is reduced to that price in the sale. It looks a good size but there are mixed reviews on the site. I think most of the bad reviews are for the purple colourway .... would probably have the black but just wondered if anyone has it?

actually scratch that .. just logged on to the site and the black is now out of stock .. they only have the brown left! My coats are black so brown doesnt really work! Damn.

I liked the idea of the black patent but the fact that it was large and leather appealed too.

thats quite nice but Im not sure it is big enough for the huge amount I cart to work and back again every day!

keep checking the Boden site, have had loads of sale stuff which had gone out of stock and come back again. Think they must be returns, you have to be quick when you see them but it's worth a daily check - saw the black bag on there yesterday, was thinking of getting the red one - anyone got that?

kettlechip .. I saw the black one yesterday too but thought I had better not buy it until I was sure I would get my money back on the other one. When I logged on today it was no longer in my shopping basket! Looks like the red one has gone now too and only the brown one is left.

I thought it was too good to be true ... £80 down from £135! I had my last bag from Boden .. the purple soft leather bag and I love it!

Phone them - they may have something in when it says not on the site. I had to exchange a jacket for DP and the site said out of stock - I phoned and they did have the size I needed. The woman said "oh it's very low stock so it won't show up on the site".
