I am meeting up with 2 old Uni mates next Saturday and have no idea what to wear.
We are going out for a meal and then drinks, poss some dancing (eek!).
Am 5ft 9", big boobs, long fairly OK legs (mid thigh onwards) and wide hips, fairly hourglass I suppose. Am size 14, 16 on a bad day (but will be juicing all week to ensure a good day ).
Cheap as possible, and I am 35.
What can I wear????
Thanks n advance

Last girls night out every single one of u was wearing black skinny jeans, heels and a top of some discription

sagacious · 13/02/2009 17:54

u = us

Clure · 13/02/2009 17:55

Skinny jeans, fab on long legs.
Team with a funky boho tunic, hippy jewellery, ankle boots with killer heels. Try primarkk and new look. Have a great night1

Thats a good idea, wanted a dress, but forgot about my jeans.
Thanks!
I am ridiculously excited

sorry but i think the tunic and skinny heans thing does not much for hourglass figures, hides the best bits and mades everything look as wide as the widest bit.

maybe a lbd or if feeling braver a little bright or floral dress, opaque tights and heels. chunky nonprecious jewellery.
are you going out in a city or small town tho? will determined how dressup or not you want to be

sagacious · 13/02/2009 18:12

Agree Mazzy
I'm pretty similar to the OP (though not as tall) Tunic's look bloody awful on me, fitted stuff works much better.

(I'd love to suit hippy jewellry sadly I look like I'm a 3 year old playing dress up )

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2009 18:19

Jeans.... plus this top and jacket something like this??

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2009 18:21

Or.... for a dress, how about this with this?

sagacious · 13/02/2009 18:23

I like that dress/shrug combo (I have that monsoon top already !)

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 13/02/2009 18:48

Dress is lovely but surely if boobs are prominent then the neckline is wrong? Something with a lower cut on the neck would be better.

If you want to do skinny jeans but not a tunic, then something like the monsoon top with a tuxedo jacket would look very cool with them. Accessorize with a statement ring, some bangles and a fab necklace in either gold or silver (depending on your colouring if you are going for predominantly black clothes). Oh and don't forget high, sexy heels

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2009 18:52

You'd think so Mrs JS, but I tried it on today and 'twas stranegly flattering... neckline is pleated which helps I think. However, it's all down to how big the boobs are I guess. (I am 32e/34d.)

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 13/02/2009 18:52

If you want a great dress for your figure, my friend has very similar proportions to you and wore this dress here with opaques and patent heels on a recent girls night out with us. Very Dita and very fabulous

Lizzylou · 13/02/2009 20:36

OOh, love that last one MrsJS.
It is in an affluent Cheshire/South Manchester village...so don't want to rock on up looking like the Lancashire hillbilly
Was thinking about the tunic, and yes, I do have to be careful to make sure that they don't make me look like Humpty Dumpty.
Think I may have to go on a little shopping trip and try some stuff on...

I am a DD, but am 38 round the back, am sturdily built.
Oh to have a narrow back

Second one is fab. THink first one would make you look pregnant (bearing in mind you said you couldn't wear tunics )
