I need some new liquid eyeliner, usually find it quite difficult to apply.Anyone got any recommendations on easy to apply brands so i dont end up looking like Amy Winehouse

I really like a cake eyeliner, that you apply with a wet brush, I find it much easier than liquid, alternatively a gel eyeliner is also great and they don't budge once they are on, Mac and Bobbi Brown do them.

Guerlain is great for flickiness. Very sleek.

TheThoughtPolice · 13/02/2009 13:34

Dior Diorliner Liquid eyeliner. I have it in both black and brown.

Linwin · 13/02/2009 13:59

MAC liquid eyeliner is the best I've used.

Also YSL is good, superfine I think its called. Impossible to make a mistake as it goes on very fine but if you want a lot takes a while to build up

Amandoh · 13/02/2009 14:45

Rimmel professional liquid eyeliner is the best one I've found for the little flick. The brush is thin and soft so you don't end up with a really thick line.

Inexpensive too. If you can't create the effect you want then it's not a huge waste of money.

Second vote for Rimmel professional liquid liner here . although I do like the sound of the YSL Superfine - sometimes I want just a little definition rather than a marked line, iyswim.

FoxyBingo · 13/02/2009 17:23

the mac one stays on for days and days

Lulumama · 13/02/2009 17:23

rimmel brilliant and so cheap

another vote for it here !

janestillhere · 13/02/2009 17:25

I've used lots over the years, but the best by far has been Bourjoir.
It has a brush and the liquid isn't thick, so you can build it up if you wish.

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2009 17:32

Another vote for Rimmel. Body Shop liquid liner is also OK and they do a nice dark brown if you want to look a bit more natural (or as natural as one can when wearing flicky eyeliner).

SobranieCocktail · 13/02/2009 17:33

The Collection 2000 is very very serviceable IMO. It's got a nice brush (I can't get on at all with the ones that have a felt-tip style applicator) and it stays on v well.

FoxyBingo · 13/02/2009 17:35

i think it can look very hard on older faces.

Lulumama · 13/02/2009 17:50

luckily, i can pass for 17 !

chainstitch · 13/02/2009 17:57

i like the mac gel one with the angled brush. expensive, but worth every penny. (the brush alone was £14) i can make it thin, or thick, dependingon my mood. sometimes the amy winehouse look is the way to go.

lionmummy · 13/02/2009 20:49

thanks ladies. think i'll try the Rimmel one as a good starter

Rimmel great-stays on really well too. Make sure you get the one with the really thin brush
