too much for a sex toy, can you imagine it

these pants cost alot of money dontcha know!

tumtumtetum · 12/02/2009 20:58

Ah you have missed my earlier post, where I said it looks like those knickers little girls wear over their nappies.

I will stick with the diamond encrusted thong and emerald studded bra combo I was looking at earlier

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 12/02/2009 21:05

oh Pruners......you seem to be basking in some indirectly reflected glory there......

I do think the Strumpet knickers are lovely and I would definitely love a pair - think they are sexy and DH would love them...........will save that link

Many expensive lingerie lines (Myla, Agent Provocateur etc) are mass produced and still charge plenty of money for their wares - so I guess for limited edition, hand-sewn pants it doesn't seem so much in comparison......still bloody expensive though!

But those C string things are just vile.

Shhhh · 12/02/2009 21:10

lol..reminds me of dh's friend who went to Harrods to buy his dw some underwear for christmas..
No price tag on but he guessed..Hmm....no way a bra and knickers would be more than £100-£200....

Ohhh how wrong....set cost over £600 .

Dh said he nearly died at the till...BUT proceed to pay, thinking "they had better be worth it" .(queue behind and was to embarassed to shop in Harrods and say "how much")

If it was me I would have paid, gone to another till and returned..!

tumtumtetum · 12/02/2009 21:10

Pruners might be able to get you mates rates on those plants if you play your cards right, John

ROFL @ plants - now that would be a revolution in underwear....

And bring a whole new dimension to ladygardening!

southeastastra · 12/02/2009 21:12

do the really do a good trade in those pants then?

Shhhh · 12/02/2009 21:12

OMFG..! Just looked at the c string....
Looks like something I stirred the dinner with tonight

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 12/02/2009 21:13

Plants?

I like them, DP would love them, but I would baulk at the price, and I think the fine hand-dyed aspect would be wasted on men really. I work in a posh knicker shop, and I do appreciate good design and fabric etc, but I think there is a point at which you are paying purely for perceived exclusivity, which is nothing to do with the pants.

tumtumtetum · 12/02/2009 21:17

I'm going to plant my ladygarden up with some snowdrops, daffodils and foliage for a seasonal romantic treat for DH!

Don't get more original and hand-crafted than that...

Those aren't knickers, they're toys!

mileniwmffalcon · 12/02/2009 21:19

ruffly pants are great but ruffles front or back, not both i reckon.

these are a bit more reasonable

samsonara · 12/02/2009 21:19

I used to work in Harrods lingerie dept as a student but I was just the assistant wrapper person, I didn't know anything about brands and designers and my hands shook when I wrapped a silk rhinestone encrusted night dress that was £600...which was probably what I had to live on for the whole term!

(i'm rolling on the lino, i really didn't miss a letter out)

tumtumtetum · 12/02/2009 21:40

I'm going to take some snaps and send them to gardeners world magazine as a possible horticultural trend.

Maybe Alan Titchmarsh could do a feature on it.

southeastastra · 12/02/2009 21:52

omg rofl

samsonara · 12/02/2009 21:53

No Tum, don't do it..you'll only start a new mad craze and then the Chelsea flowers show might feature you...alongside the rural garden betweenthe city garden and the water garden will be, in the gold category, tumtums ladygarden!

tumtumtetum · 12/02/2009 21:58

ROFL I have never won a prize - I reckon this is a genuinely top idea!

If some people will pay £500 quid for those pants and others will spend their time weaving lentils then for sure there is a market for ladygardening!
