I normally use herbal essences, but its all changing now and I dont like the look of the new stuff, so need to change.

Dont want to spend a fortune
Dont like Treseme
Need a shampoo and conditioner
I have fine blonde hair, not coloured, straight and shoulder length

TIA

not read whole thread but i really like the blue bottled V05 stuff. NOT NOT NOT pantene... i bought it as was on offer and it's awful - has made my hair greasy, itchy, truly yuck yuck.

Another vote for Aussie!

But have also recently tried Toni & Guy sleek and straight (or something like that) and it's very nice indeed!

i dont think it matters which conditioner you use. i always buy whatever is on offer. however, here is what i do, at least once a week. shampoo hair as normal, then put conditioner on, put swimming costume on, and go sit in steam room for as long as i can stand it. come out, shower, keeping water away from hair. and back in steam room again, for as long as i can stand it. then remove conditioner.
fabulous treatment.

the Aussie stuff is too rich for me and makes my hair lank and greasy

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 13/02/2009 22:21

mosschops30 · 13/02/2009 22:24

hey sal, yes I got them both. I went for the anaesthetic one in the end, much easier with the family basically. I spoke to my boss and asked if i could do fewer nights but she wouldnt budge so I guess I have to go.

Looking forward to the easy life

My hair is like mosschops. I use whatever 'blonde' one is on BOGOF at the moment. But sometimes I like 'volume' ones - the blue Andrew Collinge seems to work well for that.

bran · 15/02/2009 18:09

I use Burt's Bees Very Volumising shampoo because it doesn't have SLSs and it doesn't irritate my scalp. It does cost a fortune (£11), but it's a big bottle and I find that I need a very small amount so even though I wash my hair every day I only buy a bottle of shampoo every 5 or 6 months. I do have dry hair though, I would probably use more if I had greasy hair.

For conditioner I keep coming back to the rich Aussie ones, usually the one for coloured hair. Occasionally I use Burt's Bees or Aveda volumising conditioners but it does work out expensive because I use quite a bit and they're not really much better than the Aussie conditioners.

janeite · 15/02/2009 18:15

I like the John Frieda Weather Works or Brilliant Brunette stuff. But I have psoriasis (sp?) on my scalp, so tend to use Polytar or Neutrogena T-Gel, along with whatever conditioner is on BOGOF.

bottersnike · 15/02/2009 18:20

I use the Green People range, and love it. It's expensive but lasts for ages, so it evens out!
Dh uses their "homme" shampoo and it has down wonders for his itchy scalp ( he is still slightly embarrassed about the name though..)

mosschops30 · 15/02/2009 18:34

Yes will be doing that course but as its a Uni course I wont start till sept, but I have my NDP in critical care under my belt too so will be good on the cv.

Yes the nights were a big factor, even doing one a week is too much for me because I hate them so much, it just ruins my life, which sounds dramatic, but it does. I think the nights in anaesthetics are every 8-10 weeks which is great for me, and I dont think you do many whilst supernumery which is about 6-8 months so even better.

How are you finding it now? Any plans to move on or are you enjoying it?
