here

Am torn. It's a lot of money and I don't want to look like a complete dick.

Please don't laugh! I really love it! I know it's a bit different but I tried it on yesterday and it made me want to skip about like a schoolgirl.

Yes if I had the figure

mermaidgirl · 12/02/2009 12:19

I think you need to be a size 8 or 10 to wear this and under 25! Sorry don't like it!

cmotdibbler · 12/02/2009 12:20

Depends on your job - if it is kind of creative and relaxed, then it would be lovely

Lizzylou · 12/02/2009 12:21

I wouldn't wear it to work (unless you work for a trendy firm), but if I had the figure, I'd wear it

nickytwotimes · 12/02/2009 12:22

No. Too dressy.

YeahBut · 12/02/2009 12:22

If you are slim then I think it would look lovely. What kind of job do you do?

girlandboy · 12/02/2009 12:24

Bottom is a bit too shiny and satiny for work, but the top bit is fine!

oregonianabroad · 12/02/2009 12:24

cute. bring a blazer in case you lose your courage.

Mooseheart · 12/02/2009 12:24

Thank you for your comments so far.

Am a size eight thirty-something. Work in marketing. (Not agency though). I like to look quite smart for work.

Dress did look amazing on - if I may be so immodest to admit!

Go for it - it's nice to have something that makes you feel great in it.

Mooseheart · 12/02/2009 12:26

girlandboy - yeah it's the skirt that I'm not sure about! Ther is something quite cute and perky about the combination though. Top's lovely - but a little boring as just a top.

Also, the knitted section comes down quite low on the bottom. I would be a bit concerned that it would "seat" after a while and that it would end up with a baggy bum shape in it.

(It is many years since I had a knitted dress, but I do remember it seating quite badly after a while. Or perhaps that's because I had a sizeable bottom!)

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 12/02/2009 12:31

I really like it. If it made you feel like that, and it looked nice, why not just buy it!

MascaraOHara · 12/02/2009 12:34

I'd wear it to work.. and I work in IT, very dull.. could deffo wear it in you rindustry

I like it could wear all sorts of shoes with it and could always dress up/down with different belts/tights/shoes

don't think it's too expensive either

shootfromthehip · 12/02/2009 12:34

I'd wear it with a black jacket and black and white shoes/ bag and a big white flower on my lapel. But then I'm a wee bit nuts so feel free to disregard my opinions!!!

Seriously though, I like it.

doggiesayswoof · 12/02/2009 12:36

I wouldn't wear it to work (too dressy for my place with the satin) but I'd wear it out if I were a leetle bit thinner

Lizzylou · 12/02/2009 12:36

If you could be comfortable wearing it to work and it looked great on and made you feel good (which it would if you are an 8 ), buy it. I love it.

WouldYouCouldYouWithAGoat · 12/02/2009 12:37
