dress for a funeral

I was thinking of getting this for a funeral next week, with the benefit I can wear it again for my birthday dinner next weekend.

Tights and heels for funeral, maybe boots for dinner.

is it ok? Or should i buy something more sombre for the funeral?

Um, personally I don't think it is suitable for a funeral, but I am an Old Fart.

I wouldn't wear that for a funeral unless I knew that others attending would be dressed relatively informally/non-traditionally.

It's pretty - perfect for a birthday. Possibly suitable for a funeral - depends on the funeral. It wouldn't be an obvious choice, but I've been to funerals where the relatives were very clear they didn't want everyone in sombre black. Suppose it depends on the event - some funerals are definitely more funereal than others.

right thanks for that.. I might just get it for my birthday and find something a little more sedate for the funeral.

I haven't been to one forever (thankfully) so wasn't too sure of the required attire.

has anyone seen a black jersey style dress suitable for big norks?
