I have to say M&S, although I haven't got any recently. But I bought a 3 pack years ago and wore them lots and lots and lots for everyday stuff and ballet classes, so they were pretty much worn to death. Good prices too. Nothing more depressing than spending £££ on tights and shoving your finger through them on the first wear.

They were 60 denier. Reminds me I must get some more!

IMO Wolford 60 Denier are the only ones to wear . They are expensive but very much worth it. However, I have bought some John Lewis own make today (one pair in 60 denier "velvet" finish and one in 100 denier cotton) so will let you know what I think when I try them on later

I love thick tights in winter

Sadly I do not own a casual skirt

THink I'll start a thread asking if anybody's seen a good one!

BonsoirAnna · 11/02/2009 16:38

Wolford

Tesco have thick wooly ones in purple, jade, brown and black, they are £3 and really quite good.

ihatethecold · 11/02/2009 17:18

tkmaxx best place for them

MrsSeanBean · 11/02/2009 17:36

Another vote for Wolford. They last for ages and are well worth the extra expense.
