URGENT help needed finding wedding outfit!

A lovely friend of mine is getting married next month and is having real trouble finding the right outfit. Can anyone help? She's looking for a two-piece (top and skirt), non-bridal looking but still glamorous and show-offy for her Big Day. Style-wise, ideally something like a 'decent' strapless top (she doesn't want her booswams bursting out of a boob tube!), or even one of those strapless numbers with a single, wide strap going diagonally across the chest.

She loves shopping at Whistles and would love something that's stylishly quirky, ideally with lots of detail (such as ruffles) on the top, then probably an A-line skirt for that gorgeous 50's look. She's a 14 on top and 12 below. Do you know of any shops or designers who she could consider going to?

Thanks in advance, MNers!

I've not been in Zara for a while so not sure what's instore at the mo but they usually stock great separates.

Does she have any ideas about what colour/colours she wants the outfit to be?

This is nice colour and sort of ruffley (If ruffley is even a word. Rufflely maybe?).
One shoulder with ruffles and it comes in either black, cream or grey.

I know this skirt isn't A-line but pencil skirts are great for a tailored look so ask her to keep an open mind and try one on when she's chosen her top. Monsoon usually stock lots of A-line skirts so it might be worth popping in store and having a look.

Ruffley (There's that non-word again!) shoes! They come in black, pink or grey/beige.

Wow, love your taste, Amandoh! I did suggest she tries Coast and Monsoon, and I love that skirt - pity it's in black as I don't think that would work for a wedding. Still, now that you've shown me those designs I'm very optimistic that she'll find something in time!

Zara are apparently crap for sizes if you have a normal, curvy figure . I will tell my friend to check out the other suggestions, though. You're an absolute darling.

Fabulous links Amandoh, would make a great outfit and the bustier and could be worn with a fuller skirt.

I prefer Cate Blanchett's top to the ASOS version...anyone know where it came from?

Just found it. Armani Prive. Whew! Not quite as cheap as ASOS!

Don't write Zara off. I'm a 12 with 34DD boobs and find their sizing ok. Their trousers are too long for me (I'm 5'4") so always need taking up but they fit brilliantly on the waist as do their skirts.

If she likes neutral and nude shades then Zara does this well. Such a shame that their online site is so rubbish.

Sadly my friend has tried Zara already and it's definitely a no for her. I believe her boobs are a lot bigger than a DD, so maybe that's why.
