What do you wear on your feet

I do love shoes but am a bit rubbish when it comes to casual ones.

I want something I can wear with jeans or casual trousers that I can walk in comfortably with the pram ... but don't look like scruffy trainers.

What do you wear.

And what comfortable walking wear can you wear with jersey dresses that don't make you look about 100 years old or have very fat ankles. Boots are fine in winter but am going to have to cast off wooly tights at some point.

I find this a difficult product to find or even think what fits the bill. I have been known to wear my knee high boots with socks in spring/autumn so will watch this thread with interest.

Currently, due to this weather I'm wearing my sailing boots I'm slightly to admit this but they are the warmest most waterproof boots I've ever owned and they look suitably distressed as they've crossed the Atlantic twice with me. They actually look like more structured Uggs when worn with jeans.

But I'm rubbish with shoes due to my large plates.... can't ever buy anything nice.

Boots in winter, ballet pumps in summer.

cmotdibbler · 06/02/2009 14:54

I am currently loving my long Doc Marten boots like these as they are waterproof, dead comfortable, and non slip

In the summer I am very fond of converse trainers, esp the laceless ones

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 06/02/2009 14:59

These!

suwoo · 06/02/2009 15:02

Uggs in winter and birkenstocks in summer.

LoveMyLapTop · 06/02/2009 15:03

Neeerly3 · 06/02/2009 15:08

bear paws in winter (here) and ballet pumps in summer - or flip flips (not flip flops as if you listen both feet make the same flip noise when you are walking!) Ipenemas (sp?) or Haivannas.....

nailpolish · 06/02/2009 15:09

oh yes and birkies in summer
cant wiat til summer

littlerach · 06/02/2009 15:24

I have DM high boots.
Oxygen ballet pumps fpor when it is nicer weather.
And many other ballet pumps for summer, plus flip flops.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/02/2009 15:34

Slight hi-jack here- any good cheap sites for birkies. I want a navy, leather pair of arizonas.
Does no one else find ballet pumps really uncomfortable?

BonsoirAnna · 06/02/2009 16:44

You can wear metallic banana shoes or ballet flats with sweater dresses - they look great.

Uggs in winter, Birkies in summer.

fruitstick · 06/02/2009 18:09

Those boots are lovely. I may have to invest in a pair, although my feet are so huge it's always a challenge to not look like I should be in a circus!

Might have to go with the ballet pumps option too and live with the fat ankles!
