Have a bit of a mad urge to wear an apron/overalls

Someone on another thread mentioned wearing an apron in the house to minimise snot/grime/food smears.
I do wear an apron when coking sometimes but have a yen for 1930's style apron with buttons doing up the straps at back. Mrs Mop sort of.Could then veer between the mother in the Waltons and on bad days, Hilda Ogden.

Before my DCs started school I had a hankering/need of a housecoat-type thing. Mainly so I could wear something nice underneath so that I didn't look a fright when I went out. I never found a nice one & now an ordinary apron suffices.

I have to admit to fancying a doris-day type white one with ruffles on the shoulder straps . Wear an apron most days, then at least I can do the school run without food smears.

I have a fab apron. It has "Domestic Goddess" emblazoned across the front. But when you look closely at the fine embroidery along the top it says "fucks this" and a cute little tag with "bullshit" written on it.

I LOVE it.
