Wedding Outfit with a difference (for those who enjoy a style challenge)

I have a slight twist on the usual request for a wedding outfit.

I am the bride. Nobody knows (except soon-to-be DH). Parents currently think they are coming for afternoon tea at a hotel - which they are, but only after a short trip to the register office.

Something like this may therefore lead to some awkard questions beforehand. However I'd also like to avoid jeans and a t-shirt.

At the moment the likely candiate is this but I'm struggling to find shoes, cardigan (well it will be May) etc.

Similar style "day" dress suggestions would be great.

Oh, I'm medium height, 12-14 (14 in dresses due mainly to large norks). Rubbish in high heels but happy with a "comfy" heeled shoe of the Clarks-type variety.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for all the lovely replies. Well yesterday's shopping trip was snowed off (though we did make it to the Register office to apply for our wedding licence )

If I go with the blue dress then both red and white are definitely now options for accessories. I love red and have a nice red dress for DD so would work for the photos too.

Not sure I can carry off white trousers - both from a large arse bodyshape perspective and due to the fact that we are following the wedding with a cream tea and a two year old (jammy fingerprints anyone?) Love that outfit though.

Am also now fixated on a new dressy coat. That's increased my budget somewhat, but who cares!

teafortwo, not sure I could carry off any of the dresses in your first link.

Do like the Next one. Suspect DP would PHSL at "fresh young and cute" though, cheeky bugger!
