My hairstyle is getting on my nerves.

My hair is very curly and very fine, I've had the same, or, a similar hairstyle since I can rememeber and would like something different.

Does anyone have any idea what may suit me ( I have a round face)

I'm not bothered about length or colour etc. Just want something different.

There are two schools of thought regarding fine curly hair. Some say you should have it layered to increase volume, others swear by keeping layers longer, or no layers, to avoid fuzz. Is your hair frizz prone? If so I would say longer layers (if you have no layers) may be a good start, to encourage the wave/curl but still keep some weight to stop it lookig too thin and wispy.

If you currently have layers, you could try growing them longer? Do you have a fringe? That's sometimes a good medium way to get a new look, again I would stress to keep it long otherwise it will spring up and look frightful too short (bitter personal experience here!)

Try high or low-lights also for a different look? What colour hair do you have at the moment?

What does your hair look like at the moment? Could you go for something like this?
or is this too thick?

MSB, my hair is very long at the min with long layers and yes it is prone to frizz. My hair is black at the min.

Mrsmaidamess, I like that style

If it would go really curly when shorter then MrsM's style may work - you could get that curly effect by scrunching it. This may eliminate the frizz. I think it's genrally easier to work with the curls if it's really curly.

Beware of going too short all at once though, you might regret it. You have to be sure and be prepared for a long wait if you think you might want it long again!

If you are unsure about going for the chop maybe just go a bit shorter and keep the layers to encourage the curl a bit more. And/or try some low-lights?

FWIW I think long with long layers is very versatile and gives loads of options, but I know sometimes you just feel you have to have a change! Can you try styling it in a different way? Twisting it when wet and leaving to dry naturally, this sometimes gives a nice natural tousles/wavy effect?

Good luck whatever you go with
