Hiya I am trying to dress for my shape as im slowly losing weight but need to feel nice, Im a tall size 16 with an hour glass figure, waist best feature, but not great! Im fine when dressing uo, love wrap dresses and heels etc its casual i just look a frump in! I've stepped away from the baggy loose fit jeans and trainers look as I wasn't comfortable, (overhang!) and I looked bigger!? Invested in some black uggs recently and happy in tight, leggings or skinny jeans but what tops can I where with this? Have a few long things and layer up a lot! Also I like vintage looking stuff and prefer to be a little alternative then 'townie' if you know what I mean (despite wearing uggs I know) anyone??

Topshop great for tunic/dresses.
As are White Stuff and Fat Face.
I wear alot of tunics/short dresses with skinny jeans/boots or leggings and boots,or linen trousers in the summer.
Just eremembered Warehouse, they do wonderful silk or jersey dresses that are above the knee and look great layered.
HTH!

Top Shop have some great tunic tops in their basics range at the moment. (Am thinking if you are slowly losing weight then you don't want to spend too much on items .). You could dress them up with accessories - belts, chunky bangles and necklaces - and perhaps layer them with camisoles beneath for warmth or interest

Check out Fat Face - they have a sale still on their website (I never pay full price for anything from Fat Face). Also try H & M.

I would say you might want to try a semi-fitted v neck jumper with a longer vest beneath (showing slightly at neck and then again at the bottom). Something fairly fitted will actually slim you down - as per the wrap dress - as long as it fits (so don't be afraid to go up a size to get the right fit). Again, layer them up with interesting colours and spend more on your accessories as they will fit whatever size you shrink down to and they are what will stop you from looking "townie"

oh and stay away from any tunics which are too "flowing" and billowing. You may feel more comfortable because they are not clingy but they do add pounds and make me look pregnant (and I am only a size 8!). If you do want something flowing, make sure it finishes at the hip rather than longer so that your (extremely enviable) hourglass figure gets a chance to shine beneath the tunic . Alternatively, wear a tunic for length but bring it in with a wide belt on the waist to show off your lovely shape
